第6回国際学術会議「マンガ・フューチャーズ‐日本内外の制度とファンへのアプローチ」は、性や暴力の表現規制問題をはじめ、マンガの流通や受容をめぐる法的制度とファンの立ち位置をテーマに開かれた。近い将来の国際的なマンガ状況がどのような諸問題に直面するか、オーストラリアと日本がおかれた現状とその違いから議論を交わす場となった。
